Conor Gallagher travelled to Spain on Tuesday night to complete his move from Chelsea to Atletico Madrid. Gallagher had agreed personal terms with the Spanish club two weeks ago. But the deal has stalled after Atletico Madrid forward Samu Omorodien’s move to Chelsea collapsed.

However, The Athletic reports that a deal is now back in the works. And Gallagher travelled to Madrid on Tuesday night in a bid to leave his boyhood club.
The England midfielder is set to sign a five-year deal at the Stadio Civitas Metropolitano that will keep him at the club until 2029. With the deal worth €42m (£36m) including an undisclosed sell-on clause.
The transfer is expected to be officially announced soon with an agreement already in place.
