Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva is confident his team-mates will cope with the pressure from supporters aspiring to win the Champions League trophy.
“Sailboat” will open home to the visit of Atletico team in the European Cup quarter-final first leg on Tuesday night. Both clubs are determined to win this title because they have never been able to win it before.
When asked whether the two teams would be nervous about winning the Champions Trophy League or not. Bernardo said: “I don’t think it’s anxiety but UFABET pressure. The pressure to win is great because it means you are at a great club fighting for every trophy.”
“It’s the pressure we need because we want to win those trophies. Atletico is a great club as well. I’m sure they have the same thing. There is a lot of pressure from the fans to go on and win.”
“They are the champions of Spain and they are doing well in the Champions League. There is pressure on both sides. But we are use to this pressure and we will deal with it very well.”
Bernardo Silva began playing for Benfica’s youth clubs in 2002-2013, then was named in the Benfica B-team in 2013-2015 and progressed to the senior team in 2013-2015. He also moved on loan to Monaco in 2014-2015, before being bought permanently by Monaco in 2015. Where he made 86 appearances and scored 22 goals, most recently joining Manchester City in 2017.
