Benfica midfielder Adel Taarat admits Liverpool are a much better team. But I’m confident that my team is not afraid and can definitely fight.

Benfica host Estadio da Luz against Liverpool in their Champions League quarter-final first leg on Tuesday.

At a press conference on Monday. Adel Taarat the 32-year-old said he was not afraid of the Reds in any way and was confident his team had the good and chance in this game.

“We had a chance because we were in the quarter-finals, Liverpool is a team we respect. But we are not afraid of them. We know the quality they have but we have too. We UFABET have attacking players who can make a difference.

“Liverpool are a different team than I knew when I was playing in England. They’ve been playing together for 4-5 years now, they’re having a good time. 

“They understand each other. When I play in England They are an unpredictable team. Many players have been replaced. They come in and go out But now it’s a great team. The team now is stronger than before.”

Taarabt began his playing career in France at Lens before moving to English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur in 2007. Taarabt then moved to Queens Park Rangers on loan in July 2009. He was signed permanently in August 2010 and quickly established himself at Loftus Road. QPR were relegated in 2013 and in the ensuing summer, Taarabt moved to Fulham on loan. After another loan to AC Milan in Italy, Taarabt signed a long-term deal with Primeira Liga club Benfica in 2015, who loaned him out to Italian side Genoa two years later.
